The Horseshoe was in operation in the early 1980s as a music pub, playing jazz funk and other "disco" music, such as Evelyn Champagne King. The Pentangle first performed together at the Horseshoe Pub in 1967.

Until recently occupied by Gultronics 264-267 Tottenham Court Road, London, W1T 7RJ.

The Horseshoe Brewery (Meux) was built in about 1810 and demolished in 1922. In 1814 a huge vat of porter burst open. The result was eight deaths and many houses swept away. The vat held more than one million pints of beer (3555 barrels). Swimming survivors drank the beer flowing down the streets.

As of September 2007, the whole site (including that of the Burger King next door, but not the theatre), is completely demolished.
