E5 FOUNTAIN: 211 Lower Clapton Road . Watneys. WATNEYS LONDON BITTER, WATNEYS STAG BITTER, WEBSTERS YORKSHIRE BITTER. The dark red exterior facade with glossy canopy belies the intersting locals' pub within, consisting of three interesting bars. A very basic public bar leads into a plain but comfortable area with large windows. Beyond that, through an intersting wooden frame, is a large room with TV & Juke plainly furnished but with an extremely ornate relief Edwardian ceiling in the theme of Pan. A thriving locals' pub full of character and characters. The Grill room by the Gents at the back of the pub seems unused Hot & cold food/ Darts/DiscoWed/Live music Sun lunchtime (Country & Western.)
