The Flautist & Firkin was orginally called "Cornucopia" and then "The Horn of Plenty". After the Firkin chain closed done it became the Matter of Time.

They have a quote from -- "Wild Wales" (1862) by George Borrow on the pub wall.


"But there is a time and place for everything, and sometimes the
 warmest admirer of ale would prefer the lymph of the hill-side
 fountain to the choicest ale that ever foamed in tankard from the
 cellars of Holkham."

I think this quote is against beer and for the pleasure of the countryside!
