How much does a site have to have a coherent identity to have interest to people in general?
- Yes, that's a problem here. I changed my ideas about what should take place here... are we planning a "wild garden" or like some sites, very much guiding tought? Best example of "thought control by HTML template" is the BBC ICAN website. Gordo 10:54, 13 Jan 2005 (GMT)
Looked at the ICAN site. I like the idea of a wild garden. It will be nice when we can have thumbs. Each wiki page could be the blog of a user - newest item at top. Include photos. I think a wild garden can happen around a shed that is a section of Dead Cafes or dead Pubs. Whilst still gives the anarchic space of the wild garden an influencing ethos and shared task whilst allowing individually inspired planting or wind blown seed if you like. Users beign able to choose to play wind or seed.
A some point it becomes a personal website and maybe that's what it should be? I'm a bit hung up on 'projects' with some kind of sharp edge... Szczels 17:33, 21 Jan 2005 (GMT)
Can we put the newsy items in some sort of archive at some point soon as the dead cafe bit has fallen of the first site page?
